A detail worth keeping

RingIt / Investor brief
RingIt is developing a smart ring for silent, pen-free notes. A working proof of concept exists. We are raising $750K for two engineering roles, RingIt’s own ring prototype, data collection, patents, and preparation for early users.

RingIt is being developed around short notes written silently, without a pen or paper. The aim is to reduce the effort of capturing them.
The proposed form is a ring. The business question is whether this writing experience can become useful enough to earn a place in daily life.
RingIt has a working proof of concept using an off-the-shelf ring, shown in a demo video available on request. A provisional patent application has been filed. The project is pre-revenue.
The ring and packaging shown on the website illustrate the design direction. Further product development and preparation for early users are ahead. Demand, pricing, and repeat use remain to be validated.
The proposed model combines a hardware sale with optional software services. Its central assumption is that a convenient way to capture short notes can become a repeat habit. Willingness to pay and software adoption require validation.
RingIt welcomes conversations with angels and pre-seed investors interested in wearables and consumer hardware, particularly those with experience bringing an early product to market.
Oura’s growth offers context for the ring as a consumer product. RingIt explores a different purpose: turning writing into digital text. Our thesis is that wearable input can become a useful everyday habit, starting with short notes.
The existing proof of concept demonstrates air writing. The next stage focuses on RingIt’s own ring, with on-surface writing and broader language support on the roadmap.
Market context & sourcesThe $750K pre-seed round is intended to fund two engineering roles (a hardware lead and an ML/firmware engineer), RingIt’s own ring prototype, data collection, patents, and preparation for early users. The proposed instrument is a SAFE.
The deck outlines a 12-month development horizon and proposed use of funds. Review the milestones, assumptions, and terms in a private investor conversation.
See the existing proof of concept and bring questions about the scope of the demonstration.
Review the proposed business, development milestones, and use of the $750K round.
Discuss the assumptions, the work ahead, and where your experience could help.
